March 2025: Michael Holder (r), founder of Smith Enniskillen and creator of the SE Steady GABA relaxation shot gummy bar, receives the awarded grant cheque for $5000, from Jenelle Bannon (l), Business Development Coordinator, Economic Development – Bruce County.

In recognition of his all-Canadian, innovative new product and business, with 2 in-house integrated manufacturing operations, the first located in Belgrave, Huron County, and the second located in Kincardine, Bruce County, Michael Holder, the founder of Smith Enniskillen Company Limited and creator of the SE Steady GABA relaxation shot gummy bar, has been awarded a new startup $5000 grant, through the County’s Starter Company Plus Program.

Overseen by Jenelle Bannon, Business Development Coordinator, the Starter Company Plus Program offered by Economic Development – Bruce County, is a business development and grant program for new business start-ups in Bruce County. 

“The Starter Company Plus program is a very valuable program for new startups, encompassing new business training, mentorships, and grant funding.   A program such as this is essential for encouraging the development of new business, to grow and drive the economy forward.” says Michael.

SE Steady with GABA HCl, provides a day’s-worth of GABA relaxation shot in a single gummy bar, so stressed men and women can “bring some steady-as-it-goes to their day”. GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid), is the natural relaxation neurochemical producing feelings of relaxation, and is provided in its water-soluble hydrochloride (HCl) form, for faster absorption and action.

Smith Enniskillen, an all-Canadian company, developed, patented, manufactures the GABA HCl and SE Steady product in-house through two (2) production facilities, the first located in Belgrave, Huron County, and the second located in Kincardine, Bruce County, and sells it to consumers and retailers through its own online retail store.
